IT"S A WORLD RECORD!
It's official, The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company is now home to a Guinness World Record for the "World's Largest Teddy Bear Mosaic"
Local resident Jack Long came up with the idea for the flag. The flag was used on the back of a float he created for the Chelsea Fair parade. His daughter rode on the float in the parade as part of her run for fair queen. The Chelsea Teddy Bear Company was her sponsor, and we donated the teddy bears.
Three hundred and sixty teddy bears were used to give the final dimensions of the flag mosaic 46.5 square feet. That is a lot of teddy bears, and a pretty big flag. Drop by and see for yourself. It is just one of many things to see when you stop by and see us at the Chelsea Teddy Bear Company.

DID YOU SEE OUR 'FOUNDING FATHERS' DEPICTED AS TEDDY BEARS?!
Our collection of artist bears includes Washington, Jefferson and Teddy Roosevelt. These rare artist bears are truly amazing to see and would sell for over $2000.00 each. It was President Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt's actions depicted in a newspaper cartoon that inspired one of the first teddy bears ever made. It was this bear that began the 'teddy bear' craze. Come in and learn more about the origins of our soft and cuddly friend, the teddy bear, at our new factory / warehouse store.

CHELSEA TEDDY BEAR - GRAND OPENING The grand opening of The Chelsea Teddy Bear's new factory/store outlet on June 3rd, 2006 in Chelsea, Michigan was an enormous success. It was a proud day for all of us here to open our doors to such a warm reception. Thank you all for joining us. The first ever Great Bear Cub Run at the Grand Opening was an event to remember. Smiling faces were everywhere as our Bear Cub Run contestants ran throughout the warehouse floor grabbing as many teddy bears as they could carry. We even had a visit from our 4 month old, 12 lb. american black bear mascot "Chelsea".
